Grow Lab project
Grow Lab project is my Arduino <--> Raspberry Pi controlled automatic self adaptive plant grow system which is currently being developed using Arduino Mega 2560 as IO hardware, Raspberry Pi 3 as an server "brains". It's being build with "end of the world" scenario in mind to be able to optimize plant growing with low energy hardware from seed to complete plant where you can pick up your goods.
Looking for test users
I'm looking for few people who has to have little bit of Arduino experience or enough interest to complete own setup other than related to sending and receiving data from GrowLab to get data into this system for later development and testing. These users can send me feature ideas so it's better if these users have real usage for this kind of system. If you are interested contact me via this contact form: http://www.nitramite.com/contact.html

Use cases
Features
- Private individuals for any use case like growing tomatoes at home.
- Farmers (more about this case coming in the future)
- Low cost, low power hardware.
- You can buy what ever components you prefer.
- Supports multiple different sensors and device controls.
- Will have camera abilities and even machine vision.
- Diy parts like 3D printable sensor housings and instructions for making the assembly.
- Arduino side via C / C++
- Raspberry PI (Linux) running HTTP API using NodeJS and Express
- Data is being stored at MySQL database. MySQL database procedures and functions are in deep use with this project. I chose MySQL cause of simplicity and since I mostly use that.
- Front end web UI which runs top of Apache2. It is build using Bootstrap 4 and jQuery within Javascript.
- Brain part supports multiple account and will not be freely available since I am building this with business in mind but currently as a hobby project.
- Arduino side code will be freely available when it's developed far enough.
Features
- Set up sites (like laboratories) and multiple plants for each site you have.
- Set parameters including moisture targets, automatic valve controls, automatic lighting, automated temperature controls etc.
- See statistics of realized lighting, watering and so on.
- Control humidifier to humidify environment for wanted humidity levels.
