Technical notes
Basics
QuickScan scanning speed has a reason. QuickScan scans IP addresses via spawning multiple independent threads. Each IP address is being listened for reply 1000 milliseconds.
Security
There's nothing special security wise but it's possible that your router or firewall devices won't like your phone scanning your network with huge amount of threads causing big spike of ping like messages being transported especially when "hidden devices" feature is enabled which will cause each IP being scanned for multiple ports. That being said you should only use this application on your own network or on network you have permission to run network scanning activities.
If you have any questions, use contact details on Contact page.

GPS permission and SSID

If you see text as shown here saying optional: to allow app get WLAN SSID.. it means that you don't have GPS enabled and/or GPS permission given to this application. You can give this permission simply by clicking this optional text. After giving permission check that you have your GPS enabled. This is only used for SSID retrieval so it's not mandatory.
Host alive status polling

If you ever see scan results with strike trough text styling as shown in image with ip address 192.168.1.109 it means that this particular host dropped from network after scan was finished. It will be shown again as non strike trough text if this host comes back online inside WLAN network.
This feature is handy when you want to try find specific IP host on your network via taking power off one host at the time. Polling interval is 30 seconds so don't expect it to refresh status immediately.
Hint: if you activate Active voice feedback feature, you will hear status changes with TTS engine voice.

Possible actions with IP scan result

If you do normal click for scan result element, app will look for common official open ports. Scanning wide range of ports is slow so to speed things up, app looks only few. This can give you fast feedback what is your network status.
Clicking port scan result leads to browser opening and showing you details about this port where it's possibly used for. So these element like in image "22 SSH" are clickable also.
However if you long click this item, app will open new view which allows custom wide range port scanning even up to port 0 to 65535 since last possible port is 65535.

Port click action explained

When you click any of the following open port results, application will do Google search for given port. Not opening it on browser for accessing this port.
This app currently does not have Intent action handler to handle all port opening on some specific installed port suitable application. This may come later, but for now it simply tries to tell user what this port is all about. It's then up to user to decide what other utility to use to access this port.

Host status changes are also informed with voice if this feature is on.

Adding other network spaces for scan

Do long click over Hidden devices and you will see field with title Comma separated network spaces. Fill it with given rule having comma when separating spaces. Spaces could be anything like upper example.
